February is Food for Fines Month at Warsaw Public Library
February 2008 is a good time to clean out overdue library materials and over crowded cupboards. Bring in one non-perishable food item per library item that has overdue fines on it, and the fines will be forgiven for that item. Bring back those long overdue books, DVDs, audiobooks, and puppets!! You are, of course, welcome to bring in food items even if you do not have fines. The food will be donated to our local food pantry.
Meanwhile, how about checking out one of our many cookbooks? Find some new soup or slow cooker recipes and keep warm during the cold season. Find them at http://www.owwl.org/

An early reminder:
LEARN TO KNIT AT WARSAW PUBLIC LIBRARY
We’ll have a beginning class on Tuesday, February 19, starting at 1 PM. We will cover just the basics, and then you can decide whether you want to continue to visit the library to knit and get suggestions for projects. The class is free, and supplies will be provided.

New DVD and videogame Fines
starting in 2008
We will be raising our DVD fines from .50 a day to 1.00 a day in 2008. We have been able to keep our DVD fines lower than most other local public libraries up to now, but we must keep up with rising costs, including purchasing more DVDs than ever. We attempt to provide as many DVD titles as possible, if not number of copies. Please “put a hold” on the titles you are looking for using the OWWL catalog. Only Warsaw patrons can reserve our new titles for the first month that they are on the shelf. One renewal allowed. http://www.owwl.org/
Do you need some good reasons to come to the library for diet cookbooks, excersize DVDs, and selfhelp books? Try this test and get started on your New Year's resolutions.
How long will I live?
