Press Release
Check out Free Fun for the Whole Family at your local library or 24/7 via OWWL.org

Many area families are cutting back on summer vacation plans due to the economy and are exploring opportunities close to home to stretch entertainment dollars. Recently, Kim Iraci, Communications, Advocacy and Outreach Librarian with Pioneer Library System spoke with a local mom who was looking for activities to do with her children who were not going away to summer camp. The family had looked at local museums, state parks, and summer recreation programs to save money, but had not considered their local library. “I urged them to call their local library to explore free programming. Many libraries throughout Pioneer Library System have a full roster of special events, crafts and activities that are free. Plus there’s the extra added bonus of maintaining and building summer reading skills which has a tremendous impact when children return to school in the fall.”
OWWL.org member libraries also have summer events that are not just for children – member libraries have activities geared specifically for teens from writing an original play to geocaching to Rock Band tournaments. In addition there are activities for adults from summer outdoor concerts to reading challenges to downloadable audiobooks and eBooks via OWWL2go libraries -- ensuring there is some thing for the whole family to enjoy.
To learn more about events taking place at your local library please call the library or check out the library's website at http://warsawpubliclibraryhome.blogspot.com/
Plus you can check out beach ready downloadable audiobooks and eBooks via OWWL2go at http://owwl2go.owwl.org or surf your local library catalog at OWWL.org and place holds or read full text articles from the comfort of home.
