Also welcome are those who already own an eReader (Nook, Sony, Kindle, etc.) or are using an iPad, iPhone or similar device to do their reading. They may bring their devices for show and tell. The workshop is presented in a Q&A format. Topics include, but are not limited to: What is an eBook? What are the pros and cons? What equipment is needed? Where can you get eBooks? What is an eReader? How to choose an eReader? Can you borrow eBooks from the library? Will eBooks eliminate printed books & libraries? The workshop includes: handouts, a free digital textbook, and take home lab. A Barnes & Noble nook eReader (and possibly others) will be demonstrated. Note: this is not an OWWL2go - OverDrive class. However, OWWL2go is referred to as a source of eBooks and basic information will be provided.
